​What is Family Ministry?

First Baptist Church of Llano believes Family Ministry is:​

• The church focused on partnering with parents to equip them to be the primary spiritual influence in their child’s life.

• A core commitment of the church as a whole that focuses on the home and relationships between families and the church.

• A church-wide effort to equip families in discipling the next generation.

• An inclusive ministry to ALL families, churched and unchurched.

4 Key Goals of Family Ministry:

1. ​Partner with Parents - Our prayer is to partner with parents as we navigate one of life's most difficult challenges, raising Christian children in a broken world.​

2. Family/Church Relationships - Our aim is to help families successfully integrate into our faith-based community. Raising a Christian family is difficult. You don't have to do it alone.

3. Equip Families - We strive to equip families with resources for every stage and phase of life to help raise their children in Christ-centered homes.

4. Inclusive for ALL families - "You Belong Here". This modern phrase is a constant reminder to us that God's grace was given to all. That His salvation was not given to only the "elite Christians" of the world, but to all mankind, and He invites all of His children into His family. And by extension, we invite all families into our church family.​

Vision for First Baptist Church of Llano's Family Ministry:

"Equipping parents to lead their families through personal & family discipleship, biblical & practical Bible Studies, and facilitating growth & community between families of like faith."

While the above mentioned is the lens by which we focus our efforts, we also humbly admit that we fall short and are in need of God's grace. Relationship-based ministries are often messy, but so BEAUTIFUL!

We do this in three major aspects:  Worship, Teaching and Small Groups.

​​

• We believe that the Bible is God's revelation of the Gospel and is the manual for all of life.  We teach the truths of God with the learning styles of 7-12th graders in mind.

• We believe that small groups build community much like they did in the 1st Century Church.  Peers encouraging peers and discussing what they learned while being led by a caring adult.
